Summer Evening by Edward Hopper

Summer Evening by Edward Hopper

Unspoken,
the time we spent before
not so long ago,
your lips were on me,
our sweat mingling
and both of us
all unaware of
the existence of the world,
other than the one
we created together.

Now at the door,
reluctant to say goodbye,
my body still thrums
when I remember.
